Description
I was head of security on legal cannabis farm up in Humboldt county. I worked nights and one night coming up to one of our dry houses, I got ambushed by 3 guys. Only 2 had firearms, the third had a machete. They had me dead to rights, disarmed me and put me on my knees, I honestly thought that this was it. They were all Hispanic and I’ve heard from other farms that cartel elements have been attempting to dig in for a while. I kinda just said f*** it. I get shot on my knees, shot in the back (had a plate there as well) or get my head cut off, so I went full on murder mode and tackled 2 of em, got my Glock back and opened fire, they took off on ford ranger. They hit me, plate took the hit and I know I hit someone cause next morning we found blood trails, broken glass.
Dreamt about that night for a long time.

The Testudo Gen 2 Plate Carrier maximizes coverage and padding in a distinctive retro style.
The biggest armor size the industry offers (11”x14”) as well as the more common 10”x12” both fit well; internal straps secure both.
For comfort, generous padding prevents chafing and a fully adjustable cummerbund and shoulder straps let you choose the ideal fit. This adjustability makes the Testudo more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution, since the size itself can be changed to best suit you.
The Testudo also has plenty of PALS webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories. On the PALS is an application of Velcro, offering superior versatility for placement of medical, or other patches & gear.
The Heritage Armor Plates (two included) stop the following threats:
- 7.62×51 M80 NATO Ball (.308 Winchester) at a velocity of up to 2,780 FPS.
- 5.56mm M855/SS109 (Green Tip) at a velocity of 2,780 FPS.
