I was head of security on legal cannabis farm up in Humboldt county. I worked nights and one night coming up to one of our dry houses, I got ambushed by 3 guys. Only 2 had firearms, the third had a machete. They had me dead to rights, disarmed me and put me on my knees, I honestly thought that this was it. They were all Hispanic and I’ve heard from other farms that cartel elements have been attempting to dig in for a while. I kinda just said f*** it. I get shot on my knees, shot in the back (had a plate there as well) or get my head cut off, so I went full on murder mode and tackled 2 of em, got my Glock back and opened fire, they took off on ford ranger. They hit me, plate took the hit and I know I hit someone cause next morning we found blood trails, broken glass.
Dreamt about that night for a long time.

The Invictus Carrier is an impressive and sleek armor carrier that specializes in CQB and vehicle-based operations. It’s a favorite here at Armored Republic and has also been jump-tested by USSOCOM.
The carrier is principally made of 500D Cordura Nylon, a weave favored for its balance of strength and flexibility. The shoulder straps and pull tabs are made of a grippy and deceptively strong Hypalon® to contribute to its sleek design. The laminated Nylon cummerbund gives you a custom fit that also accommodates our padded side plate pouches.
The Heritage Armor Plates (two included) provide Level III rated protection against 7.62×51 M80 NATO Ball (.308 Winchester) at a velocity of up to 2,780 FPS, and special threat tested to stop 5.56mm M855/SS109 (Green Tip) at a velocity of 2,780 FPS. Multi-hit capable and a steel alloy blend material with exclusive FragLock™ Base Coating- this Heritage Plate provides durability, rifle-rated protection, and 20-year shelf life.
