Why We Support the Second Amendment

The Second Amendment isn’t about duck hunting. It’s actually not even about personal self-defense. It’s about resistance to tyranny and oppression. Everything else is a bonus.

It’s hard to tyrannize an armed populace; our Founders added the 2A to ensure our ability to resist tyranny. And tyrants hate nothing more than a populace that can fight back. And disarmament is the first thing dictators do when taking power. But properly armed is more than guns, it means armor, too. Because if you need one, you’ll probably want the other.

The ability to resist includes both arms AND armor, because if you’re in a situation where you need one, you’ll likely want the other. Arms and Armor. The two As of the 2A.

Because nobody in a gunfight ever wished they had less protection.
