The Testudo Gen 2.0 Plate Carrier is distinguished by its cummerbund, which wraps around the lower part of your torso to give you a perfectly comfortable & tight fit- the same way shoelaces make for a better shoe. It features a fully adjustable cummerbund and shoulder straps, making it more than a “one-size-fits-all” solution. It also has plenty of PALS webbing for attaching your MOLLE-compatible pouches, holsters, and accessories.
The value of lightweight gear is likely the most understated asset in the armor industry. When you have to carry armor all day, trek in it, work in it, and more, shaving pounds off your kit is a great benefit to your fighting ability when the time comes. The A2 is 5.5 pounds and stops both M80 Ball and Green Tip penetrator rounds. It also is rated to stop 7.62x39 (i.e. AK-47). Not rated for AP rounds.
The Trauma Pads are a non-newtonian material that absorbs compressive force to mitigate the blunt impact that otherwise causes secondary injuries after an incoming bullet is stopped.
